Only my opinion but if ur going to do a job as costly and important as reseeding do it right.that is soil test, fertilise and lime accordingly, either plough or direct drill and critically burn off old sward.

Using slurry on top of grass seed is only suitable in moist weather early or late in the year. It is not suitable in mid summer as if the slurry dries it cakes and a lot of the seed will die after germinating. Even if it did it would find it hard to compete with existing grass. Some reccomend constant grazing to allow seedlings to establish however TBH it is very risky. You also have the issue with established weeds.

You are better off spraying grass before mowing and either sitching or discing. With how hot the weather is at present I would nearly holds off and wait until later in the year,
