Teaching in a Catholic school

I recently got a job in a catholic school in London. I have never taught in a catholic school and do not have the catholic certificate. I was just wondering for primary teachers who trained in Ireland what did you learn here or what books did you use?
Can anyone direct me to materials that would be helpful as to what I should know and teach.
