Buying from TK Maxx UK in Ireland

Hi,

I really want to buy a few items on the UK TK Maxx site (the Irish one doesn't do online shopping, and I really doubt the items are in the Ireland shops), but it says that you:
- can post anywhere (in the UK, that's fine)
-but that your address for registering on the site must be in the UK and that your card address must match it (I live in Ireland, sooo).

I tried buying them anyway, but it wouldn't go through.

Is there any way of getting around this?

Yeah, but my address (actual, for registration on the site), which has to be the same as the one offically on my card has to be a UK address.

Get yourself a PostFX GB£ card at a participating AnPost Post Office, register the Parcelmotel address as temporary address in the online account of cashpassport (which is behind that card) and than you should not have a problem.

This worked for me with several companies that wanted a UK address on the paying credit card.

I am not 100% sure, but I think I had my work address added as a recognised address with my bank. I get all stuff sent to work and had issues before about delivery & bill payer addresses being different.

When you join parcel motel you will be given a new NI address, you might be able to ring the bank and ask if it can be added to known addresses on your card.

Just wondering if anyone knows a way around the necessity to add a uk phone number on your billing address when setting up a TK Maxx UK account?

I often end up adding fake numbers when registering, sometimes it will not accept the number of digits of a real one, and mostly I do not want them getting my number. Its usually a backup contact for them, if they cannot get through they will just email you. Not everybody has a phone so it should not be essential.
