Hi I've done a lot of research on this matter and I'm hoping it'll be possible for my husband to adopt my two daughters from a previous relationship. They're 12 and 10 and haven't seen their biological dad for 6 years, his choice may I add and we live in the same town. Anyway what I'm keen to know is this guy is mentally unstable and in and out of physiatric wards. I'm wondering will he be in a fit state to either consent or not consent, does anyone now if this is an issue or would it work in my favour ? Any advice would be great.
