Motherboard has an integrated Network Card.
(As do nearly all of them these days!)

I think LD was referring to wireless. However op never mentioned it was needed.

If you thought that you'd never upgrade, aside from maybe the graphics card, the Intel would be a better choice.

At present, the i5 would have better performance, given that the cores are more powerful and most games are coded to only avail of a few cores. The AMD CPU has more cores and the potential to surpass the i5 in the long term as games are moving towards use of more cores.

Upgrade potential would be slightly better with the AMD CPU as you have at least one more generation to go, you can overclock or go to an octocore. With the Intel system, there won't be any more CPUs released than we already have. You can upgrade just a few MHz or to a CPU with hyperthreading which isn't that useful unless you do heavy encoding. In fairness the i5 is actually quite powerful and would last you a while, probably through another graphics card change.

So in summary - i5 is better for immediate power, should last you a while, fine for upgrades in other parts of the system.
FX6300 is cheaper, still quite a powerful hexacore CPU, looking like it has better upgrade paths.

The spare €60 could get you:
A small SSD - just store windows and your basic programs on here. You won't fit your games - keep them on the hard drive.

It doesn't actually have more cores though. It really only has 3 cores with something similar to intel's hyper threading so it can handle 6 threads.

I went for the intel as you said you wouldn't be overclocking. If you were going to overclock then the 6300 is a no brainer. Maybe even an 8320.

Here's a rough idea of how they compare to each other in different programs. They didn't have the 3330 in the list so I had to go for the 3470 which is 200mhz faster.

The games they chose to test aren't the best as sc2 and diablo 3 only use 2 cores afaik which explains why the intel does so much better.

Ah yeah, I know it's not technically 6 cores, but it's much better that Intel's Hyperthreading. With Piledriver, as opposed to Bulldozer, they're actually far closer to behaving as 6 cores in their performance. I'd call them more like 3 x 1.75 cores.

We do know that the consoles are going to use AMD CPUs and that recent games are finally using more cores, so I think that even if you're getting a bit of a loss for now, you'll be better off in the long run.
