First off, I have not read any of the books. Unfortunately, the other night, Frankie Boyle decided to tweet some spoilers without any warning. I would consider them HUGE spoilers. He has since gloated about how fun it was to ruin Game Of Thrones for everyone - unfollow- and I gather he has tweeted more spoilers about whats happening north of the wall, but thankfully I have not seen those.

Basically I want to know if what he said is true. If it is I've decided I'm just gonna start the books now, so no on else can ruin it for me. If its not true then I'm gonna carry on watching the programme and not read the books as I enjoy the element of surprise/shock a la the red wedding!

    So, he said -

Joffrey gets poisoned and dies, Tyrion is framed for it.
    Tyrion kills Tywin.

All I'm looking for is either - "Yes thats what happens" or "no that doesn't happen" Please no more spoilers!!

    ere
you may want to add a few lines of

    *spoiler*

    *spoiler*

    *spoiler*
    etc

to the top of your post

as when you mouse over a thread title it shows what text is in the first post...

    --edit

also.. do you really want to know?
just wondering might be better than knowing what actually happens

yeah I just went back to check if there was any spoilers in the actual mouseover, I just saw it happening and jumped in to post just in case

anyway, i'll answer if you want. but i think you're better off not knowing either way as annoying as wiating to find out if it's true or not might be..

Either way its kinda ruined it for me. Now if either of them come under threat in the show, I'm not really gonna believe anythings gonna happen to them.

Perhaps I should just read the books anyway now. I'm a fairly quick reader so should be able to catch up quick enough.

    God I hate Frankie Boyle.

I mean its not like he said something so silly its obviously not true. It seems like the kind of thing that could happen and he didn't say it as a joke, so I believe he was telling the truth.

Yeah, just read them without knowing. You'll enjoy so much of the other hidden background stuff that the TV show leaves out that it will be worth it.

yeah, just read the books. there's plenty the tv show misses out on and even with things you've seen on the show there's more... flavour in the books.

OK, you convinced me! Its a shame cos I really enjoy the show, but I'd rather not have it all ruined for me. I'll get the thread closed!

MOD EDIT: Thread closed as per request
