    Tremolo
    Chorus
    Delay
    Overdrive
    Wah

Under 100 for each of those, or under 100 for all? If it's the former, look especially at Joyo and Mooer...

You can get Marshall, Joyo and Mooer pedals for all of those effects bar the wah for around the 50 mark. The Joyo and Mooer are Chinese clones of established pedals and are getting very good reviews. You'll probably need to go over 100 for the wah, but keep an eye on adverts.ie.

€100 per pedal gets you into boutique territory without question. Check out the likes of Prymaxe and sign up for their news letter to get discount codes, and you'll get a superior product to anything by Mooer.

The heavily discounted price many of us availed of earlier this year made the Chinese clones a reasonable proposition but I would never pay what X-Music and the like are charging for them now. And that's not to say that it's the fault of Irish retailers - I just think they're over priced in comparison to higher quality competition.

You haven't indicated the guitar, amp or style(s) of music that you play, these could help people help you, so consider expanding on this.
Given the split that you have between pre and post (IMHO) I would suggest a Line 6 M9 to handle delay chorus and tremolo, and two individual pedals to cover overdrive and wah.
If your amp has an fx loop you could put the M9 in there, I had one there and it worked pretty well. The pros and cons of fx loops are discussed at lenght on the internets.
As for od and wah, I cannot speak for the latter, but have gone through a share of od pedals. I would suggest you try to borrow a few off friends etc before buying one, or picking some up cheap off Adverts.ie.
I have had good results from a Joyo Ultimate Drive, and also a Boss SD-1, both quite cheap. Please factor in power considerations for the pedals, sp if you intend playing live, power supplies are very handy.
On the topic of live playing, you may require a tuner also, there is one built into the M9 as it happens. Use moderation in applying effects to your basic sound, unless you are among the 'sonic pioneers' that is. Best of luck.

What are Prymaxe like to deal with? I'm in the market for a few pedals, and their prices look great. I assume there's a chance you'll be stung for VAT/Duty.

There's a thread over on I<3Fuzz about them that started off very positive, but had turned quite negative - mainly small pedal builders complaining about their prices, but also people claming that they skimp on their shipping packaging (people are talking about pedals arriving in envelopes, but I assume they're also in the manufacturers box). The prices are very tempting, pedals are made to be stood on, right? :D

I´ve bought several pedals from Prymaxe and think they´re great. Their prices are consistently better than PGS, as is the shipping they offer. All of my pedals have arrived in padded envelopes with the pedal wappred in bubble wrap and firmly secured in the manufacturer´s box. I´m not sure what people are complaining about really - I would highly recommend them.

Bought a Budwah off of them a few years ago before they re-designed them to look hideous.. Excellent service, price and there's always discounts

They even marked the package as a gift... which I thought was nice... Usually only the Chinese ebay sellers do be at that!

As for the effects a multi effects pedal as mentioned would do the trick but I'm very much getting very addicted to getting knock off pedals these days

Chorus and tremolo are grand little ones (have them both)

What's a good sounding overdrive without getting into boutique prices.

To be used on a small tube amp.

I was looking at that one. The sound I'm looking for is vintage old school rock. Ac/dc full bodied grit. Not fizz if that makes any sense.

That the one so. Go in to a shop and line it up against a few others. You'll get all sorts of well intentioned advice and opinion online, but a lot of it will be people telling you what they like. Nothing wrong with that, but at the end on the day your ears will tell you what's right for you.

    Leave the mids in.
