Folding Bike for the Wife ...

Hi Folks,
Can I get your thoughts on the following bike for the wife - She will very infrequently use it :mad: - Might be handy for getting all bikes into the car, if I get this folding one for herself ...

If you can suggest somewhere else I can buy something cheap and cheerful for her, I would appreciate it. Dont want to spend too much, as I know she will use it for a few weeks and bike will then retire to the shed ...

For what you want, I'd say this should fit the job. I haven't cycled the bike myself, but the reviews on the Halfords site are all positive - the worst anyone has to say is that the bike is grand. If the bike is never used, the Raleigh name will help with the resale.

There are better folding bikes, but you could spend 4 X the amount - have a look at some well known alternatives here if you suddenly win the lotto: link

2 last comments if you're buying in Halfords:

1. Don't expect great service. You might get it, but better to go expecting to have to do the tweaking yourself and you won't be disappointed.
2. Find somebody with AXA insurance and borrow their card. This gives you 15% discount.

Folding bike always handy to have, and good fun for casual stuff.

Try Done Deal, always a few on there. Would be cheap enough for a parcel courier to collect it and deliver to you.
