I finished up a contract job in April and only signed on for jobseekers a month later in May, as I had a new job lined up that I expected to be employed in, in say a week or two (however this dragged out for much longer than expected). I was awarded jobseekers from my claim date, however the late claim (to the date I finished employment) wasn't initially approved and I appealed this in writing.

I have now been offered the job and am due to start this week. My query is, if I use the online option to close my claim, will this automatically close my claim for the backdated amount?
