Hi, it seems that my account is ~ 50 in credit  , but there doesn't seem to be any option on the website to transfer the money to my bank account... is this automatic or is there an application process?

    Hi BrendaN_f,

Credit balances normally remain on an account to offset future bills; however, a customer can always request the credit to be issued in the form of a refund.

If you have been paying your Electric Ireland bill by direct debit, then we can arrange an EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) directly to your bank account. If not, we can post you out the refund in the form of a cheque.

Please feel free to send us your account details by private message (click here) if you would like us to organise this for you.

    Regards,
    David
