    Hi all,

I'm looking to get a medical card, I'm living off a scholarship for my postgrad, just wondering if it is counted in the means test?

    Cheers :)

Are you under or over 25?

Then you will not get a medical card unless your parents already have a card. Full details at www.hse.ie. If you wait till Sept., then you should have no problem.

im under 25 and got a medical card this year. My parents dont have one and i dont live with them. I think that rule only applies if you live with them as it takes the whole households income into account.
