Having purchased a Lenovo Ideapad U160 2 years ago, it now has developed a power fault

Lenovo tell me they have no repair facilities in the UK or Ireland

Can anyone recommend a good reliable ( wont over-charge me ) place to leave it in to get repaired, preferably on the Northside of Dublin. I will travel anyplace in Dublin if it comes recommended though

Thanks in advance for any help offered

    http://www.electronic-recycling.ie/
    they fix laptops ,
50 euro per 30 minutes work, thats for laptop repairs.
does,nt include price for the parts.

RING em first, ask is there someone there that fixes laptops, today.
hes, there 3 days a week.

ITS at the back of the estate ,on the right , opposite a large unfinish
    steel frame building.
    is the power supply working?
i get parts there for old pcs.laptops.
i know theres no mention of repairs on the website.
90 per cent of their work is recycling pcs, laptops.

I didn't know that ER do repairs.

I normally get John from laptopparts.ie to do that sort of work for me. He's based on the northside but usually comes out to wherever you are.

    That's pretty steep tbh...

And ric, lad, you usually give pretty decent advice, but you really should spend a little bit more time structuring your posts because people find them very hard to read.

I would agree, particularly if there is no max limit, i.e: €50 an hour up to €120 or something similar. It can take 30 mins just to open some laptops! And don't get me started on OS reinstall/Windows Update times..

    Hi All;

I appreciate its a tad late, but just wanted to let folk know how I got on.

I eventually used "Back from the future" in Aungier Street, Dublin

I have to say, with all honesty, I was very impressed with the service I received, I could not fault it at all. They guys in the shop were extremely polite and knew their stuff

If you have a laptop / netbook issue, I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone
