    yea buttercups everywhere:( With the poor growth the buttercups outfought the grass. Last year with the rain the sours or docks won:( Posters were saying it is also a lack of lime issue.

    Think there's some truth in that, I spread lime in the spring and I have very little yellow weeds.

    Yeah buttercup everywhere ,they are unbelievable the way they can spread. A bit wary about spraying because of the effect on grass growth, can set it back a lot not to mention clover as well.

    Did anyone notice that they are worse where there are horses, or any wet patches?

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    Horses are notoriously selective in what they eat so it wouldn't surprise me.

    Going to grass harrow this winter, . . Spread lime feb/mar next yr, then fert next apr,

    Ill take pics to compare yr on yr

    Our place covered in them too. I thought it was the poaching that was doing it, but lawn is covered too.

    Surely it just flourished last summer and this spring with all the wet weather.

    Looks like a crop in many areas. And my lawn is like a yellow blanket.

    Spread lime in the autumn/winter after your last grazing, it'll need 6 months to wash in...
