Anyone suffering from Temporal Tendonitis? - Please help

    Hello.

I have recently been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia but believe the diagnosis is incorrect and that I actually have Temporal Tendonitis.

In my 2 week stay in UHG they tried every kind of medication possible (including morphine) and the terrible pain never subsided. The only thing that worked was a difene injection (via hip) and that got rid of the pain completely for roughly 8 hours.

They then prescribed me vimovo which helps a little bit with the pain but shouldn't because anti imflamitory drugs are ineffective in treating Trigeminal Neuralgia so the diagnosis in my opinion is way off the mark.

I am also on trileptal which isn't making any difference. Nothing they have given me that should ease the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia have been effective in the slightest.

They even performed a nerve block which didn't do a thing, no relief whatsoever.

So the problem is that I only see clinics in America which will treat this condition (Temporal Tendonitis). The procedure itself is fairly non-invasive, a needle through the mouth into the Temporal Muscle that kills off any worn fibers in the Temporal Muscle that are sending incorrect pain signals to the brain.

Does anyone know of any specialists here that can treat Temporal Tendonitis? They just wouldn't listen to me in UHG (University Hospital Galway) and even from someone like me who isn't a Doctor and doesn't claim to be one, the results are so black and white they are hitting them in the face, but they refuse to listen... presumably due to wanting to avoid any further embarrassment (they misdiagnosed me on my first hospital stay)

Thanks so much for any advice as this pain is so deliberating I can't even get out of bed, and even there it is absolute agony
