    Hi All,

We need a plumber for a few small but annoying jobs:

    1. Ensuite toilet flush broken (well, flush works, but it's not attached to the button on the lid of the cistern).
    2. Plug stuck down in upstairs sink. I'm sure this is simples to fix if you know how!!! The plug is controlled by a stick at the back of the sink, but it's just stuck at the mo.
    3. Boiler making a noise like a boiling pot with the lid rattling.

Anyone available to look after these few bits for us. Any chance of a quote / timeline to be out?

    Tia!

First 2 are easy fixes. 3rd is most likely blocked/restricted heat exchanger due to sludge/lime scale build up. Powerflush will be the only resolution.

Thanks Shane. Any idea what Powerflush involves or how much it should be?

Are you a plumber by any chance?

Yes. A powerflush is a cleansing of your heating system & radiators using a mechanical machine & chemicals to wash the system out, removing all sludge, etc.
Cost would depend on the number of radiators in the system. It would be preferable to inspect the system with a thermal image camera & water sample to make sure a flush is indeed required & to see the level of sludge within the radiators.
Generally, systems upto 10 rads would be €450 including thermal image camera survey.
