    Hi!
I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with the website traveldepartment.ie?
The website seems really well laid out and they have some amazing all inclusive holidays, especially the Iceland tours which I am particularly interested in.
I just want to make that they are a legit company before I book anything.
And that there are no hidden costs or inconveniences when it comes to terms and conditions, flight times, accommodation etc.

Thèyve been advertising in the Irish Times for years so have been around a while. Have looked at their offers before, always thought they were a bit pricey.

Looking at their website thy are fully bonded which is the main thing.

Some of their trips are admittedly pricey, but the Iceland ones are insanely good value.

Two members of my family have gone on trips with them, they are 100% above board and the trips are all escorted. The packages typically involve a mix of 'free' days (do your own thing) and days when there are organised bus trips to specific destinations. They are aimed at the older traveller, the typical mix is couples and singles in the 50+ age bracket, all of whom are physically independent.

I'm frankly surprised that you have to ask the question, I thought it was well known what they offer and that their reputation is very good.

the parents (70+) were on two trips with them and also had no problems and had a great time.

There is a nice mix of tours and free days and unless i am mixing it up with other tours, you can add a day on before or after if needs be too at your arrival destination point.
No doubt you can do it cheaper if you get a good deal on everything, but the prices they charge still arent insane or anything to have all that hassle taken out of it.

I'm in the process of organising a 10 day road trip from south of germany to England and back and its nearly like a full time job to try and figure out the combinations and what attractions we will go see on the way.
A tour company though takes all that work out of your hands which is one of the major plusses.
It is an organised tour after all!

Yes, most of the packages offer free days. The one I'm looking at don't, but I'm okay with that.
I'm 18 and will be travelling with my mother who is 45, so it looks like I might be the youngest person there. Again, I think I'll be okay with that.

I had actually never heard of them before I went searching for offers on trips to Iceland.

    Thanks for your help!
