    Hi
sorry mod dont know where to put this so if ya can move it to were it might suit best , thanks :)

basicly im heading off to bulgaria on wensday

first time for me and my girlfriend going away
and were planning on buying about 400 smokes each since their really cheap over their
we wont be buying them in the duty free place, we'll be buying them out of a shop over their to bring home

so overall we will be bringing home 800 smokes with us
or 4 sleeves if ya like :D

is this ok? bulgaria is within the eu and i assume il be paying tax for the smokes since il be buying them in a shop over their in the country

just dont fancy being stopped on my way home

    thanks :)

Keep your receipts to prove you've paid tax. The leaflet also says that 800 cigarettes is the upper limit per person that they would consider personal use.

Strictly speaking 800 isn't the limit. In reality you can bring home as many as you like but they MUST be for your personal use only and the onus is on YOU to prove that to the customs officer.

For example; Proving that 1,200 cigarettes, all of which are the same brand are for your personal use shouldn't be too hard. If you bring in lets say over 2,000 and/or many different brands it becomes a lot harder to prove they're for your personal use. Use common sense and honesty and you'll be grand op.

There is no duty free within Europe. if you mean buying at the airport, i reckon somewhere under 60 euro for 200. in neighbouring Belgium ,which I think is cheaper, they are about 52 euro

The price turned out to be 62 Euros for 200 b+h
