Hi, just wondering what people think of wood pellet boilers I'm thinking of installing a grant pellet boiler in my new build. It's a 2700 sq ft bungalow and well insulated etc it will be all Ufh and run three showers. I'm thinking it should be cheaper than oil in long run and heat pump are non starter for me due to electric supply and don't trust them yet personally.

The boiler is only part of the equation . Consider existing heating circuit , buffer tank a definite requirment. Zoning and boiler interlock recommended.
Grant. Ponast and kwb probably tops.
i have wood peckers running liķe clock work.

The Grant Spira is designed to take over from their oil boiler, they don't recommend a buffer even for underfloor heating.

I'll be with them next Tuesday and confirm if that is still their policy.

Would be great if pb s could efficiently operate without buffer or store . Would save immensely on installation costs . Sending in fluid @80 '
And expect mixer valves to lower to 38 to 43 '
    Would hugely be benefical.
Will take alook at hydraulic diagram for spira

Grant want anyone installing to do their training course which for people familiar with pellet boilers is well covered in a day.

I reckon you would have no problem especially as you have mastered the Wood Pecker, contact them it's well worth the day.

have you gotten a price on the warmflow. So many mixed reviews on wood pellet boilers, so confusing when it comes to a heating system

the price of a warmflow is about €7000-7300 , very good machine with inside controller, lamda sensor and very good safety features and good backup service, i suggest u contact warmflow like i did and one of their reps will meet up with u

I,ll do that thanks personally how do you find heating your home with pellets. I hear so many horror stories of pellets clogging the auger, systems breaking down, pellets becoming damp etc. How long have you been using this boiler and have you had any problems. You can pm me if you like. Thanks again
