Getting letter from the department re job seekers

Hi all, I was looking for a bit of advice,

I am a casual worker in a school, I'm only working 3 days a week so am entitled to claim job seekers. Now the employment with the school ended last week as it was the end of term, but I am going to be acting as a reader during the state examinations in the same school.

I beleive that this reading is being paid by the department so once this employment has ceased, I will require a letter to state such so that I can return to full job seekers allowance while I job hunt again in the summer. ( I already have a letter from the school but obviously this only states that I was working up until friday)

Has anyone had any experience of getting such a letter from the department? Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated, I only graduated from my PDE last year so this is all still a learning curve for me :)

As far as I know the dept won't write any letters..
Is it the school paying you or the state examinations commission?
Surely it's the principal who should write the letter though as (I assume) that's who assigned you to the position and decided who you are reading for -and consequently when you'll be starting and finishing...

School pays you for exam reader roles afaik. They did for me for 2 schools I worked in.

Thanks for the replies folks. That makes sense to get a letter from the school about when I'm finished. I was told that the SEC pays for the readers but I could have been told the wrong information.

I guess I'll find out when I go in tomorrow

    Thanks again all :)

You will be paid by the school before the end of June. The SEC reimburses the school as far as I know. But either way the school pays you within a couple of weeks
