    Hi all!
A close friend of mine is getting married in July and I'd like to get a dress that's a little different, well I want to stay away from coast etc. just wondering if anyone could recommend a nice boutique? Don't mind travelling but am based Dublin/Tipperary! Know there are other threads on this but didn't find what I wanted! Thanks in advance!!

The Kilkenny Shop would be a good place to try, they carry a lot of Irish designs, there's one in Cashel. This time last year I saw some lovely dresses, especially very 'ladylike' knee length ones with lace detail etc, gorgeous for a wedding. There's another nice boutique which also sells shoes across the road, I don't know the name but they had some great dresses this time last year, mostly fairly formal maxis in bright colours if I remember correctly.
What sort of style, price range etc are you interested in? Just to give people a clearer idea of what to recommend :)

Thanks!! I don't really have a set style! I think I would like a bright colour, not pink, short and sleeveless but I'm open to anything really! I'm in my late 20s so don't want anything too old! Price wise I'd pay around 200 would go over a bit if I saw something amazing that I really loved!

If you're in Tipperary it'd be worth popping over the border to Kilkenny, there are a few really nice boutiques there with stuff suitable for weddings- Serendipity, Peaches and Lola Rose (the last one stocks stone crazy expensive stuff but also some reasonable stuff too) are all worth checking out.

Or else check out Debenhams or Fran and Jane in Dublin, some really nice stuff there too.

Carousel in Dublin is one of my favourites for dresses. They do online sales at http://www.ilovecarousel.com/ and have a bewildering array of vintage dresses in store. They also do some gorgeous accessories to dress up your outfit. Also Om Diva is lovely. If you want to go up in price a bit there's also Costume and Smock in the same vicinity, as is Chica (lots of bright colours there), the Loft Market, and the Design Centre. Basically, there is a small square of boutiques around the Wicklow St/Westbury Mall/Powerscourt Centre way that I'd be amazed if you couldn't find something suitable. Best of luck!

I love Coco Boutique on St William Street....sometimes they have really nice dresses-some are v expensive but there are some for around 100e. Tell them what you are looking for- sometimes they keep stuff out the back!
