Hi folks, my mother recently had her house renovated and a new boiler fitted. The plumber advised us to put the old(10 years) boiler up for sale as there is a market for them...I put the boiler on donedeal but had to take the ad down again after a few days as I was only getting calls from members of the travelling community:rolleyes: looking to buy it for scrap. Is there actually a market for these old boilers or am I better off scrapping it myself?

Some people might buy it. You'd have a better chance just selling the burner on its own

They only really are good for scrap as there's a bloke up my way selling 2nd hand boiler and boilers complete for €120 as far as I know he's doing good business advertising on done deal.I have about 4-5 oil boilers and about 10-15 gas boilers in the shed that were upgraded so most have no real value
