Was looking at a dacia duster 18 k. Mixed reviews. Generally appears reliable Renault engine with reasonable kit on the signature 18 k.

Have a 05 Toyota 4D4 corolla import great nick 78 k genuine mileage gets little use with a 2006 Octavia diesel 1.9 running in great condition no probs ...may need fly wheel change ....bit of a rattle 220k mileage .....
Only need one car now..... This duster seems ideal.....

Any rough ideas what price these would be worth in a trade in!?

    Cheers

    Paddy

I'd definitely sell both them cars privately they are both very sellable cars and you will do better selling them your self and buying the duster straight. If you price them both fairly right I'd be surprised if they don't both sell within a week. Donedeal is a good site to use just in case you don't know. Is there 220k km on the octavia or miles?

Just remember when you go in to negotiate the price of the Duster the dealers only have a 4/5% negotiate margin so you won't get much off list price.

They are literally priced to sell.

You'll also be offered rock bottom prices for your trade in for the same reason.

220 km it's going like a rocket! Really only reason I am selling is that I have two to sell and it will be cheaper to buy now as I will only need the one for now ....

Do you need to sell it or do you just fancy a change?

Makes more sense to keep it from a financial viewpoint.

Well skoda getting on a bit , really only fancy a change ! I never had a crossover / SUV like the look of the duster .... Never heard of them b4 yest and I prob will get rid of one car anyway ... As will not need 2 after school closes next week .... Timing point if view it's probably good but I will see .... Going to see what garage offers as trade in on skoda on wed morn against the signature 2 w drive that will make the mind up !

You will not get anywhere near their market value from trading two cars in against one especially if one of the cars needs a bit of money spend on it by the dealer to get it in a sell on condition.

If you don't want to spend money on the flywheel then I would suggest trading the Octavia as is against the Duster and selling the Corolla privately. A low mileage diesel Corolla should be very easy to sell and worth a bit more than an Octavia that needs a new flywheel and clutch.
