Sky HD and an expired Sub

Hey guys quick question, Will a Sky HD box with and expired subscription load the UK EPG like an SD box will. If it does will it have both SD and HD versions of the channels (because some channels are not FTA yet) and if it doesn't does it at least show some channels in HD for free with the Irish epg?

    Thanks

I'm not sure about an expired Irish sub, but the NI expired one works perfectly in it. You'll get the HD versions of BBC, Channel 4 (ITV if its a UK card) but no RTE/TV3/TG4 and certainly no RTE2 HD.

Won't be expecting any Irish channels to turn up anyway given the contract they have with Sky, Saorview on the tv can take care of that.

Been searching around online for an answer to the Irish sub question fir a while and the latest information I can find is from over a year back so I thought it best to come here and ask.

Worst case scenario, it doesn't work, just request and FTV card from Setanta through the BAI scheme and don't activate it. You'll get all the channels your looking for with a UK EPG on the box no problem.

Good idea. I'll have to look into how to request the card. I'm surprised nobody has posted who has tried this with an Irish box yet.
