Hi! Looking for some opinions on this plane, the "Cessna 185 Skylane":

I think the manufacturer is Riccs, and I think I can get it for roughly about €245.

Specs:

Wing span: 1500mm
Length: 1138mm
Propeller: 1060/3-Blade
Height: 300mm
Weight: 1622g
Battery (LiPo): 14.8V / 2200mAh
4-Ch fully programmable remote (Mode 2)
6-Ch Receiver RC-RX6
4 Highspeed Servos 9g
3715 KV BL Motor
ESC: 50A

It's an RTF model, and comes with a set of floats and wheels.

Is it an OK price, or is there better for that kind of price range? Also, do ye think it might be possible to mount a small but decent enough camera for taking stills?

Cheers!

Looks pretty nice. Are you new at this? If so I would recommend a land plane first as bad landings in water could cause a lot of electrical damage. It's also pretty big and heavy for a first timer.

I think at a weight of 1622grams it should carry a 200gram camera handy enough., but be careful to put it somewhere that it wont affect Centre of gravity too much.

Hi desodon! I'm definitely no expert, but I used to have a smaller Cessna many years ago, in my teenage years. I only got a couple of decent flights out of it as it was not very stable even in a breeze.

The handy thing is that this model comes with both floats and wheels, which means I could start off with wheels, and then progress to floats.

I was looking at this camera:
