Kitchen units, without the doors

we've just moved our kitchen boiler out of our kitchen, now we need to get a unit to fit into the space where the boiler used to live. there's already a door matching the rest of the kitchen on the area where we will be putting the unit already, so i'm wondering where the best place is to get the inside bit of a unit only????

You don't actually use full unit around a boiler, it's just a frame built by your chippie around the boiler that allows it to be fully ventilated and the door is hung on it. You might need to get a tall end panel that colour matches your door for the chippie to cut down for any seen gables and some cornice/pelmet to finish it.

I think OP is looking for a carcass for the hole where the boiler used to be! Not a cupboard for the new boiler location.

    Ikea?

that's it HeidiHeidi. it looks like a press from the outside with a door that matches the rest of the kitchen, but when you open the press you're looking at the concrete ground and brick wall. would ikea sell the carcass, as you call it, on its own? had a look on their site but couldn't see what i was looking for. the previous owners of this house kinda hacked away at the kitchen units to fit it around the boiler so wasn't sure if i should get a kitchen company out to have a look, and if so, which ones are good and not mad expensive...

Sorry about that, that's speed reading for ya :D

The space for a boiler can usually vary between 450mm and 600mm wide so if you just measure the door you have ( both width and height) and you might be able to pick up a flat pack carcass in Ikea/B&Q/Homebase.
If the door is off standard size your best bet is to phone around local kitchen companies and they might be able to supply a custom one, or alternatively your carpenter might be able to adjust a standard size one.

Once the carcass suits the door your carpenter can then use fillers to finish off the space neatly.

Woodworkers.ie used to be good for carcasses (prices were online..)compared to b&q etc...something funny about ikea measurements ..i had a few questions so I measured the hell out of the area before I went along to them (around harolds cross towards rathmines side!).. Not affiliated with them or anything

We got a kitchen unit carcass in Noyeks on the North Road in Finglas a couple of years ago, wasn't that expensive as I recall.
