disc drive help!

    hey guys
    i have a vostro 1700 laptop,and the disc drive doent seem to work with a gamcall of duty 4 doesnt work,but my other ones do.and it isnt even reading cod 4...so i cant install it.even though i played it on other computers,and the vostro 1700,and it suddenly stops working.

    BUY a dvd lens cleaner kit ,2 euro in dealz, or poundworld.
    use it .
    Wait 20 minutes ,leave disc tray open to let lens dry out.

    then try the game,
    1 OR 2 scratches can stop a dvdrom loading.
    is there scratches on the game disc.?

    google fix dvd scratches toothpaste trick.

    Why do people insist on playing PC games with the Disk ?
    the joy of PC games is the ability to download a Patch or else buy this

    Sometimes product keys will work with Steam and allow downloading the digital version, no messing with emulation needed :)

    nah its the only game i have on disk and bought it for for 2 euro.the rest of them are on steam.
