Would you turn Bryan heel?

Most people online called Bryan flipping feuding with Kane a wee while ago, however recently we have been reminded of how over Bryan is and how good a face he is. Charismatic, popular with so many fanbases whether it is tired smark or young kids, nearly all love him.

But its the E we are talking about here and they have made some odd decisions before so a heel turn despite how over he should not be ruled out.

Would you turn him heel if you were was Vince?

    No.

He gets the biggest face reaction on the roster right now, despite losing left, right and center and largely being pushed as a joke. Smackdown proved though that the crowd are ready to eat up a proper Bryan push. I'd love to see a face Bryan move into a feud with Cena for the title. More likely, however, is Bryan vs Ziggler over the summer which makes me happy in my pants.

I can only hope crowd reaction wins the day, they turned Orton face when people reacted for him so hopefully it makes them keep Bryan as a face. The aggressive, serious, ass kicking face that can still be funny needs to be allowed to flourish.

I'm saying a tweener in the sense that I want to see him go out and hurt his opponents, utilise the ref counts and stuff like that rather than cheat to win.

I don't think they should turn him heel. Keep him the way he is as a face. Book him stronger and build him up to one of the world titles. It's about time WWE start treating him the way he should be treated. Not a joke, or talent enhancement type but an actual wrestler who can kick ass.

Doesn't matter to me tbh, he's brilliant at either role.

As long as he keeps the Beard I don't mind if he is heel or babyface.

when was the last time wwe had a main event face that was universally liked by the adults, kids, men, women and the iwc (smarks)...austin???

there is no way you can turn him heel right now, if i was working for wwe i would already have plans in place for bryan to go over in the main event of mania

Probably babyface Punk, but I never thought he looked comfortable in that role.

I'm still enjoying the Yes, Yes, Yes thing and I think D-Bryan is definitely ready to step up to a bigger role. People have been wanting to see this with Ziggler, but I don't think Dolph's character is as established as his obvious wrestling talent. With D-Bryan, the character and the in-ring skills are both there.

Personally, I would agree with TSC that a Bryan vs Ziggler feud for the World Title should be the summer goal. I hope that is the Summerslam plan as I think Team Hell No has truly run its course.

If it were up to me, I'd make Alberto Del Rio the next guy to take on The Shield. Have him take part in matches alongside Kane and maybe Sheamus. You could have an interesting dynamic with Ricardo being targeted by the Shield members, and it would be a perfect way to further improve Del Rio's relationship with the fans as he tries to defend his friend.

In the meantime, D-Bryan can be positioned as a perfect opponent to Dolph, with the history with A.J. is there to be played upon further. Its a perfect feud really because you can have A.J. say she chose Dolph because he's not a weak link like Bryan. Then of course the feud becomes Bryan trying to prove that his first title win was not a fluke and that he is the genuine article. The blow off would see Dolph tapping out, and you could even turn him face afterwards. The quality of the matches should help that.

Frankly they'd be stupid not to do this feud.

What's the argument for turning him heel? He's been on fire for the last few months, has by far the best babyface comeback in the business at the moment and has been the only guy to constantly get a great positive reaction from a crowd every night since WM last year. He should be shot to the top, the faster the better.

don't care once he gets to tag with Punk.

I think they would be mad to turn him heel now. He gets incredible pops and keeping him face allows him have a few interesting feuds. I wouldn't be surprised see Kane turn as they work their inevitable programme. Hopefully Bryan goes over in that feud.

Parallels with Benoit in another thread are interesting. I was in the garden when Benoit won title at WM 20 and the roof nearly came off the place. A year previously at WM 19, Benoit was in a tag match-which he lost.

As unlikely it sounds it could be Bryan in WM 30. Wouldn't it be great if he won the rumble and can you imagine the pop if he won the title at mania. As unlikely as that sounds now the way he has gotten over has impressed senior members of the locker room and I reckon he is going to get one hell of a push.

I think a big push for him is a runner too. The guy has impeccable references from the likes of HBK, is far and away the best worker in the business, gets big big pops and has shown great personality lately. They are dumb as f*ck if they don't give him the ball.

    This.

Imagine a Face Bryan winning the WWE title from a Brock Lesnar or a unstoppable heel at WM30. The Crowd would go ape**** having him as the underdog babyface. Turning him heel would be a massive mistake but this is WWE were taking about.

He's f*cking amazing at working with big men too. Anyone who hasn't seen them should look up his ROH series vs Morishima.

His matches with Big show and Mark Henry were good matches. I agree he has the tag as the best wrestler in the world cause he can work any match with any wrestler and make them look great.

The more I think of it the more him and Brock is something I really want to see.

This type of match is what I'd pay and sit up all night to see (and it has been many many years since I was doing that).

As riling as the 'Yes!'/'No!' stuff tends to be for even the deadest of crowds, I'd still want him to move away from it a little. Not abandon it completely, but get away from it enough that the character can't be accused of being one-dimensional.

Even that's a minor gripe, as it seems to be already in motion, and the level of crowd-swell he got for that Smackdown! ending is promising.

Unreal that a guy that was unceremoniously dumped 3 years ago is on the cusp of being a true breakout-act.

Not too sure how wwe would go about turning him fully even if they wanted to. His last heel run ended because of the massive yes! pops he was getting after losing to Sheamo, what could he do that would turn fans against him at the moment? Theres no face that fans care about enough for them to turn on Bryan. At best he could screw Cena over and lose the kids, but that would just get a bigger reaction from the older crowds

Whatever happens, he needs to be in the WWE/WHC title picture now that his Hell No days are done.

Yeah was thinking he could turn on Kane, but I rmmber back when Eddie Guererro turned on Rey, I think it was, Eddie was still over.

It's obvious they didn't plan for Bryan to become this big. From what I know, it seems the most popular guys are the guys they don't really plan on making big.

It kind of reminds me of the Truman Show where his wife was being forced on him when he had his eye on another woman. In this case Cena is the wife and Bryan is the other woman.
Yeah, I know it's a bad comparison but I sure you get my meaning. :)

Hell no! Would love to see him as face WWE champ immediately. In an ideal world I'd turn punk back too and try and recapture some of the magic from 2011/early 2012 when he was the coolest muthaf*cker since Steve Austin. Keep Ziggler heel, turn O...n and Sheamus (he is a terrible face - better than Miz and Cena but not by much) along with some of the other characters that are completely stale.

They really need a shot in the arm.. It's just so dull at the moment, haven't watched anything other than highlights from Raw since Mania.

I'd also give Bryan a new theme..

Don't think we will get quarter hours or anything. But I wonder if this is another sign Bryan-A-Mania is clicking:
Friday's SmackDown episode scored a 1.91 cable TV rating, up from last weeks 1.85 rating. This was their highest rating since April 26.

The episode averaged 2.676 million viewers, up 11 percent from last week. It was also the most viewers since April 26.

Smackdown ranked #8 on cable TV, #6 in males 18-34, and #3 in males 18-49.

    build it to Mania.

Punk comes back, plays tweener this weekend, goes back to heel for the rest of the summer and beyond. after his return this week, immediately gets a title shot after his win against Jericho, and have it start simmering - a quick interview with Bryan where he doesn't know what he has to do to prove he's the best, and not weak.

and just keep Punk and Bryan apart all the way to Mania where they clash for the title.

    Brock/Rock
    Taker/Cena
    Punk/Bryan

    WM 30 would be golden.

Triple H can have a retirement match with Orton for all I care. or Vince.

Cant see Rock risking his movie career in a match against Lesnar. Brock only has one level and that is full on. An injury to Rock could cost him millions.

If he comes back again, I'd like to see Hollywood Rock against Undertaker.

No way would The Rock turn heel. It just wouldn't work in this day and age.
