Sending phone for repair with custom rom?

As the title says I have to send my phone for repair with O2 as it has a buzzing in the earpiece on calls. I googled it and apparently it's fairly common. My question is should I revert back to the stock rom before sending it in even though it's not a software related problem?

Yep, it'll go to fonmenders who love to not fix stuff if they can. Do a NAND backup and just flash it back when you get it back repaired.
