Ordering From Pro Musica in Cork - any experiences?

Hey, just a quick question, but does anyone have any experience ordering from Pro Musica, down in Cork, using their online shop? More importantly, how are they as a shop in general? I'm thinking of ordering a guitar from them (played the same model in another shop) and I was just wondering what they would be like to deal with if something wasn't satisfactory? I don't live near Cork, so I'm just trying to gauge hassle-levels preemptively!

Any information at all would help a lot, thanks.

    I'd never buy a guitar I hadn't played....each one is diffferent.

I've ordered online from ProMusica....no complaints.

Well, the thing is that I'd have to pay about €23 on top of what I would be paying for the guitar to travel to Cork and back. The incredible value of Bus Eireann.

As for the playing before buying rule, I feel it's redundant in this particular case. I've played several of the same model, it has all I want in terms of how it the neck and fretboard feel. All a brand new guitar should need is a little set up for a man of my playing needs. I'll ring them up next week and make sure everything's in order before I buy too.

What I would mainly be concerned about is that it's delivered properly and the shop has a good relationship with customers.

My experiences were a LONG wait to get stuff off them (if they had to order it in). But they do have a good selection of gear in the shop)

Well, just to follow this up for anyone else interested in ordering from Pro Musica - the guitar came today through Fastway after being sent off yesterday, they threw in a basic Fender carry bag too which was nice. However, I can partially agree with what Seachto said, they had to order my guitar in, that took about a week - so if you want something right away, it's better to go and get it yourself. That said, all in all I'm quite happy, I would recommend them.

My experience was. "we can order it, should take about a week to get it in". Months later and I still didn't have it. Exact same thing happened a friend with a guitar. When he said he'd take the business elsewhere they had it fairly sharpish.
Another guy I know has gotten some really good deals with high end bass guitars and amps, but his bass guitar had to go back to get fixed, and again, it took months and months for him to get it back..
A bit of a mixed bag really!
