playing over a year and ups and downs but now going in the right direction, problems with driving, a few lessons and very good now but I have started blading my irons now ! I never had a problem perviously !

What am I doing that causes blading of irons ?

You are possibly trying to lift the ball into the air rather than striking down and compressing the ball into the turf.

Try playing the ball further back in your stance (almost at the middle) and set up with your hands more forward toward your left thigh (if right handed).

It's an almost counter-intuitive principle to get your head around with the irons - but you need to hit down on the ball to get it up!

    Good luck!

Many things can cause bladed/ thin strikes - scooping ( trying to help get ball in the air), hanging back to much, not keeping posture during downswing ,grip pressure to name a few.
Best advice is get a lesson to see what your particular fault is, well worth it know exactly what problem is and get a few drills to sort you out.
    Good luck!!
