paid monthly

I started a new job & get paid monthly. 1st month had 4 weeks, 2nd month had 5 weeks but I got paid the same amount for both months.... Does anyone know how this is worked out?? I just taught I would be paid for each week at end of month.. :confused:

You get paid a salary which is divided into 12 payments and is paid 12 times a year. The monthly amount would only change if you're on a wage or if you did overtime/on call during the month.
