New 4 in 1 business in Delgany

I was up at the old Delgany inn today. There are 4 businesses now in it. A bakery, a grocers, a restaurant and a plant/trinkety/painting place.

The prices seem reasonable. The grocer seems to include other local suppliers like farrellys - the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - I think dinner is only at weekend. I had a cake at the bakery which seemed very nice. They are very busy - they have a full carpark at the back and opened up a shortcut to the Wicklow arms carpark too.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Been popping down there quite a bit since they opened and have had quite a wander around.
Nice addition to the village, hopefully they will make a success of it.

So far have tried the full breakfast - yum & the pancakes with fruit and cream - double yum.
The coffee the serve upstairs seems to be available already ground down-stairs so looking forwards to trying that and the bread is just great too...

Firehouse Bakery, Romany Stone, The Delgany Grocer, The Bungalow:

Had a scone last week with a coffee in the downstairs part of the cafe - scone was delicious and the coffee did not disappoint.

So I returned on Thursday last and tried Romany Stone (upstairs restaurant); staff were very pleasant, the guy in charge was very good (the ladies hanging on his every word because of his accent! T'was funny). I had the coronation chicken sandwich, exceeded expectations. Nice versatile restaurant option to have locally and also to have free parking. I will admit, the car park was jammers but luckily we got in a little early.
