Just looking for people's views/opinions on using lava rock in a gas barbeque, I know some people who would swear by it and others who see it as an unnessicary ornament sitting in the grill.
After years of using lava rock around the gas burners, I decided to forgo it over the past few 2 seasons with no real difference other than maybe slight uneven heating due to position of burners.
So what do the people of boards think, is lava rock a must have for gas BBQs, or just a gimmick for us all to buy some fancy pebbles for a tenner a bag?
