Need recommendations for a TV under 500

Old telly (Haier) has gone kaput. Need recommendations for LCD/LED 32" or above with decent support for SCART (x3)/HDMI and decent sound. The telly going down came as something of a surprise and they're not the kind of thing I usually keep myself up on. Any recommendations to research would be greatly appreciated.

1 scart socket seems to be the norm now, you certainly won't find a new tv with 3 of them.

There are models from Samsung, LG, Sony & Panasonic available for less than €500, even 40" or 42", though you might have to make do with 2 HDMI sockets & no 'smart' features.

I have a Samsung UE40EH5000 myself: it's an entry level LED, no smart features & just 2 HDMI, but I got it for less than €450 & I'm perfectly happy with it, picture & sound.
