Has anybody else noticed how bad chrome is on Windows 8 compared to IE.

Is this a ploy by Microsoft to get rid of chrome, or is it just me?

I've been using it for months and find it the exact same as Chrome on earlier versions of windows.

What issues are you having with Chrome? It runs the very same for me as on Windows 7 or Windows XP.

    It crashes alot,

When it doesn`t work; I try IE, and it works.
    1. Web pages won`t load - obviously this is important!
    2. Videos won`t play on youtube
    3. Cannot scroll down on the newsfeed in facebook
    4. Cannot open messages in facebook
    5. Videos won`t play on other sites

Often when I have the above issues, I try it on IE - and it works 90% of the time.
The other times I think it`s my internet connection.

I have been a chrome fan and an IE hater for years but this is changing. I still try and use chrome first but it`s getting annoying.

    webpages load, youtube loads

based on your plethora of issues you're experiencing some kind of fcukup with flash or something. Have you tried reinstalling flash?

IE10 might be working better because of the innate Hardware Acceleration, but MSFT wouldn't be doing anything to impair any other piece of software from running as coded. If they were caught doing so - especially by google, which would be on to them pretty quickly if they were - it would be the kind of lawsuit that would make the fight between Apple and Samsung look like a boo boo at the kids playground. MSFT has already been in trouble in the past for Antitrust with particular regard to browser integration so its very unlikely theres a conspiracy here.

This sounds very similar to problems (I also had issues with images not loading) I had with Chrome when I first installed Windows 8 on my laptop. It turns out it was the Samsung Support Centre software that was causing the issue (no idea how). Once I uninstalled that and re-installed Chrome, everything was perfect. Do you have Samsung Support Centre installed? If so, get rid of it.

The only issue I have with Chrome on Windows 8 is that it sometimes opens twice. Apart from that it's fine.

You sure you're not double clicking it? :P

I had problems with Windows 8 on an admittedly unsupported Dell due to a bad wifi driver that kept dropping downloads, particularly with Youtube. This seemed worse with Chrome than IE.
