Irritating Housemate

So I am a guy who shares a house with two other guys. A few months ago one of them left and we got in a new tenant, lets call him Dave. The problem is that he is far from ideal. I've never had issues with housemates ever before, either has the other guy, but Dave is just getting on both our nerves. It's making living here very uncomfortable.

Of course we "chose" to live with him, but it's only after living with someone for a while do you really get to know them. Is there any way we can somehow get him to leave? I know that sounds mean, but it's just a clash of personalities, but he seems completely oblivious to it, but it's clear to me and the other housemate.

How do you deal with a housemate you just don't get on with?

You just treat them with normal civility like a proper grown up. If there's something specific like waking you up at night or not picking up after themselves then you ask them to be quieter or pick up after themselves. Otherwise it's probably you who have the problem.

If it's just a personality clash and no other major problems then you just kind of have to suck it up. At least it's not just you and him. You can't kick him out just because you don't click.
