Bloom in the park

In fairness road closures and parking restrictions happen for road races somewhere every week. Next Monday many road closures around South Dublin for the women's 10K. I'm assuming the rolly eyes means you don't approve, but we runners can hardly complain about the gardeners day out.

i know i'm selfish and the gardeners deserve their day out too :o I just don't like my Saturday morning routine to be disrupted. That bloomin bloom thing has been disrupting my running all week like not being able to use the loos in the Visitor Centre etc. Rant over!

I ran through the park this evening whilst the crowds were pouring out of Bloom. There were some roads closed to car traffic, but no problems from a running perspective.

Just wait till the summer gigs start...when you're tripping over crap on the roads and half the park is a mud slide.

i ran in there on thursday and friday and things weren't too bad, apart from parking issues it's all concentrated in the one corner of the park. highlight was seeing a garda roaring at a driver who was giving grief to some cyclist. lowlight was seeing another cyclist in a neck brace after coming off his bike, i'd imagine it might have been a pedestrian wandering in front of him on the bike path because there were hordes of people queueing on it to get on the feeder bus.
