    Hi all i have 2 questions for you motor brainiacs..

    1. will an older banana shape transit engine and box or engine alone go into a newer shape model.. models in question 2000 (old shape) and 2002 new shape.

    Also looking for a good reliable replacement engine for a 2004 nissan nevara of any make but an easy fit..

    Why....?!!!!

    A better solution if you have ECU issues is to M-TDI that Duratorq ;)

    why?? because i already have both models lol and 2000 is a much better engine..

    But the work that would have to go into that.... Apart from the obvious engine mounts/ propshaft/ gearbox woes you have no abs and somehow get all the electrics on the dash to work with the far from electronic banana engine.... And if the tb lets go that's the pushrods bent!

    Ahhhhhh i see well that kinda answers the first part then lol..

    Also need a gear box for a rear wheel drive 2002 90 / 350 if ya know of any

    Yes, it's a nasty nasty conversion....

    If I were you, if the van is giving trouble and you want to keep it, bin the VP30 and fit a 306 bosch pump with VP30 camplate and banana plunger head. You'll need to modify the injectors but hey, it'll never give ecu trouble ever again ;)
