Can someone please work out my MPG ...

    1.2 litre car

    20 euro of fuel - 13 litres

    100 miles.

is 100 miles good for 20 euro, 80% city driving?

Working it out from your figures its 35.2mpg. Which probably isn't too bad for mostly town driving.

That's about 30mpg which is pretty okay for City Driving.

    13 litres = 2,86 gallons

    100 miles per 2,86 gallons

    35mpg

Good for mainly city driving id say.

Use fuelly and work it out yourself?
    www.fuelly.com

I have it on the phone and die a little at every top up when I see my mpgs.

35mpg. Not bad for 80% city driving if it's a petrol car. If it's diesel, I would think it's a little below average.

    Based on the figures given:

    100 / 13 * 4.54 = 35 MPG

Pretty good for city driving. Buying fuel by the euros worth does make accurate calculation difficult though. You really need to fill the tank and reset the trip mileage. Next fill refill the tank again, make a note of how much fuel was required and the trip mileage, and calculate from that.

That's roughly 35MPG (or 8 l/10km) - not too bad for city driving. The missus' car (1.2 Micra) gets around the same around town, the consumption drops to under 7l/100km (or MPG increases to 40+) on the motorway.

I disagree with the above posts. 35MPG is quite poor. You should be getting closer to 40.

Apologies. Just reread the OP. I didn't see that he said he's 80% City.

35 MPG is decent enough all right.

    My mistake.

Well if its kilometres he's got a hole in his tank cos then he'd only be getting 21.6 MPG
