At present I'm on around 22/ 23k a year in a job that hours suit me great and I like job and people I work with. Money isn't exactly where I want to be on job and hours can be cut from time to time.

I was rang a few weeks ago and asked to go for a interview for job I have a lot of experience in and officially offered job and its 26k plus commission on top .

I just know ill end up hating this job, the company has a bad reputation as well , I don't know if I'm allowed to say the company. But the people I met at the interviews seemed sound enough .

I have till Tuesday to decide if I want job , I keep changing my mind. We really need the extra money this job brings but at what price.

I wouldn't do it. Try to cut back on some expenses instead.

We're at the same stage as most households in the country where we can't cut back anymore . The job I have there's opertunitys but money will only increase 1k a year soon.

I don't think I can risk leaving my job for this but might put my brain in gear and start up on my own in the same line as the job I was interviewing for. Because I work shift work I can do my own stuff on side and declare tax through paye .( that was my morning brain wave 0) )

I think id rather be Happy working in a job for €23000, then unhappy going to work earning €26000, nothing worst dragging yourself out of bed in the morning for a job you hate.

I'd look at the opportunity value, in both jobs, where will you be in 3 years? And is that where you'll want to be? Will both companies exist in 3 years? Nothing worse that looking back in 3 years and the job you could have taken would mean €10k more in your back pocket while your still at the same level at your current job.
