What does everyone think of the new DCU website. Notice at some stage yesterday. Not had a chance to have a look around it fully yet. Maybe it will be easier to navigate than the old one. Sure looks good so far.

I'm starting in DCU in September, so have been on the site quite a lot lately. I think the new one is much better!

It's pretty awful, It's just a giant photo with a menu and a news feed that looks completely out of place. The look and feel of the rest of the site seems pretty disjointed as well.

Couldn't but remind me of this.

It's awful. Can anyone tell me where I can find the timetable for the year? Not the class one but when exams are and the likes.

I'm not a student but I always check the website as I'm contemplating about applying to DCU. I'v found the new website to be awful, it's harder to navigate and it's harder to find course module descriptions.

I can get to my course description/module detail in 4 clicks on the new site.

I can do it 2 clicks.

I think the new website is good, it will take a bit of getting used to but finding what you want is much easier as long as you are willing to read the options in the menu. I just wish people would actually navigate through it or use the search box to find what they want instead of just asking on Facebook or Boards as was done with the old website.

The search function is still shocking imo. Try searching for information about a course (say "bachelor of business studies"), the results are all over the place? Also the menus with say 80 options beneath them are hardly user friendly.

It's still better than the old one though.

I retract my statement about the module descriptions, it appears to be working for some courses and not for others. So it's something they have to fix for those courses where the module descriptions isn't working.
