graphics card upgrade?

    is it worth my while to upgrade my graphics card for playing modern games on a £150 max budget?
    windows 7 32 bit
    intel DG41RQ motherboard
    4096 mb ddr2 ram
    intel core 2 quad pcu Q6600 @2.4ghz
    ati radeon hd 5500 series
    650w power supply

    The processor is still respectable enough so you would definately benefit from something like a 7770 or HD7790 for sure, I wouldn't go much beyond that as I reckon the Q6600 would hold back anything much more powerful than those.

    Something like this HD 7790 would be pretty good and comes with 3 free games, or this 7770 if you want to spend a bit less (Although with bioshock included with the HD7790 it nearly pays for the difference itself)

    The CPU would certainly benefit from some overclocking as well, however it look like that may not be an option for that board

    EDIT: In hindsight probably should have started off by asking your monitor resolution :p, although the answer will probably be similar enough regardless
