I got a copy in "Happy Days" Galway Shopping Centre yesterday. They only had 2, but would be very surprised if it's not in Eason or a newsagent that stocks plenty of sports magazines.

was no bother getting it here last year. I'm gonna pop up to easons this evening. Will let you know.

I thought they only finalised the route yesterday though so am surprised its out already.

there is so much wrong with this official programme I don't know where to start.

Ok, I do. The profile they give for stage 10 is actually the profile from stage 1 in the 2012 tour.

I'm off to complain on twitter

Reads of Nassau Street have a good sized stack of them, as of this morning, so I am all sorted.

Is there anything additional in the hard copy of the programme over this version - link?

Not really, but the programme also has details of each teams involved like their kit, bikes etc.

Also has interviews and predictions from former stars of the tour

theres a separate map of France with the route outlined in it. In the programme itself there are maps as well as stage schedules (where they'll be at a certain time based on a projected average speed, etc).

There are a handful of articles in it too, some by very good journalists (though I haven't read any yet), for example Herbie Sykes.

to be honest I don't see the need to fork out on the official one. I've already pointed out one major flaw with it. There are numerous inaccuracies in the team section also (clothing, frames, groupsets, etc), that make it look incredibly lazily put together.

I got it last year because I was travelling over. And it proved very useful. The same with this year but I reckon one of the smaller TdeF pullouts that come free with most of the the cycling mags would have been fine otherwise.

I like the route maps where they tell you where they expect the riders to be at any given time depending on the average speed they're racing. Very useful for when my girlfriend looks at the screen and says 'oh, where's that?' at some random village or church.

you used to be able to download the commentators guide which was brilliant as they show a castle and paul sherwen would read the description word for word.

anyway got mine this lunchtime the only one in the shop
