28e 19e 13e on a sky dish

So I was bored and tried using my sky dish to pick up some other sats.

Ive fitted some spare lnbs to the dish and after some playing about managed to tune into 19e and 13e aswell as my existing 28e for sky.

Im able to pick up all the exisiting 28e signals as I was when the dish was fixed to 28e only, with 19e and 13e im able to pick up around 1,500 services on each.

28e is bringing in around 75% signal strength, 19e is around 60% and 13e is around 40-50%. slight variations on different transponders.

With that said Ive noticed that im able to increase the channels if I adjust the dish slightly on either 19e and 13e but I as I gain on 1 satellite I loose out on the other.

Would a bigger dish fix this issue for me? And what size would be the best to pick up all the transponders?

I believe I should be picking up around 1,800 services on 19e, what should I be picking up on 13e?

    Thanks.

A 80cm dish will increase what you get on 13e a fair bit, you may also get more by focusing the dish on another satellite as your main sat rather than 28e.

I got a triax88 from this site a few months ago for about €40 which was a great deal delivered.

The price has gone up now though I see.

What do you mean 'adjust the dish'? Is the dish still aligned on 28 east?

Hi, the middle LNB is fixed on 19e, the other 2 LNBs are fixed on 28e and 13e.

If I move the dish in one direction - Very Slightly I gain more channels on 13e, but loose some channels on 19e.

If I move the dish slightly in the other direction I loose more channels on 13e but gain more on 19e and my signal strength goes up on 28e slightly.

Thought it looked like the middle lnb was at the dish focus alright, but wasn't sure.

You are probably being prevented from getting the lnb for 13 east in the optimum position, as you can't get it close enough to the 19 east lnb.

Is that a zone 2 (about 60cm high) Sky dish?

Are you sure the 1500 channels you scanned on 13 and 19 are actually from them birds?

Alot of transponder numbers are shared or very close on those sats I would be surprised that you dont get cross channel scanning being so close together on such a small dish.

I have done this many times using TD78, never tried it on a sky dish.
