    Hi All,
My partner and I are looking for a small, intimate venue. We are from Dublin and Donegal respectively so we were hoping to find something along the halfway mark that would accomodate 20-30 people. So somewhere in carrick-on-shannon or fermanagh/cavan region. Ideally somewhere we could rent for the weekend and have all guests housed on site-was thinking of a manor house or something like that. We will also be getting married in a church so any tips on small churches would also be appreciated but the main thing is the venue. We are really struggling to find somewhere that suits and doesnt cost the earth!
    Thanks,

you'll find that most venues can house from 10-180 guests. my advice is to find a few places you like and contact them with regards to your needs and see what they can do. The Park Hotel in Virginia is nice, Crover House, Knightsbrook, Trim Castle. Im not a church person at all but i do know there is alot of hassle when it comes to getting married in a church in an area you are not from. if it were me id re think that bit....less stressful. good luck

If you want to rent out the whole venue for the weekend you'll be talking big bucks either way. Small intimate hotels like Crover House would be perfect. It hasn't got hundreds of rooms and the scenery around it is beautiful.
