Hi ! So I am thinking of buying a 2nd hand Citroen c1, as I want a small super economical car! My budget is 4000, so I have found one. Looks good 2008 and nct until May 2014 . The mileage on this car is quite high though 85,000 miles . Is this mileage too high on a small car ?? Will it lead to problems with the car? And if I sell it in 2 year will it mean I will get next to nothing for it????? Any help would be greatly appreciated on this and I really don t know! :-D

85,000 miles is NOT high mileage, especially on something with a Toyota engine. I'd be much more interested in the car's service history; has it been serviced every 10,000 miles as it's supposed to have been? Is the car a UK import, as a car that age should have the mileage in kms rather than miles?

Well the car was imported in 2008 from the UK and a garage then sold it to the guy I am buying it off. I would not be able get the service. History I don t think but I did the background check online.

Imo you would be better off dropping back two or three years and get a mk1 Yaris instead. They are a much superior car to the Aygo, C1..etc imo.
