Central Locking + Elec Wind not working!! Passat 2003

Hello all, been trying to fix this for about two days now, and it's getting very annoying, please help.

    1. First problem I have, is with the CCM of my car. I read in a few different forums and concluded that the faults i have, (windows and central locking not working), are CCM related. So, I got to the CCM module under the passenger's floor panel. Checked the PCB board of CCM, all looked o.k, also checked the wires, all looked ok as well. So I cleaned a little bit the wires, and re-connected the Comfort Control Module back, and all worked fine, windows and central locking. They worked for about ten minutes, that is. Now, when it stops working, if I disconnect the connections from the CCM box and re-connect them, it all works fine for about ten minutes again, after which it stops working.

So, I am wondering, do I need a new CCM? If the CCM or wires connecting to CCM were broke, why would the CCM work fine for ten minutes and then stop working?

    2. This problem I think is also related to CCM. The passenger door behind the driver is locked and won't open even from inside. When I try to open from inside the pin in the door goes up but then comes back down. I had the same problem with the left back passenger door at one point, but when I reconnected the CCM and unlocked via the remote, all doors opened up fine, except the right back passenger door.

I know it's a lot of info to take in, but is there any advice? especially with the first and major issue I have.

    Thanks !!

There was a thread here a few weeks ago, a lad had the same issue only his wouldn't work at all.

CCM's are software coded to your car. If you get a replacement CCM from another car it won't work untill you recode it. You have to retrieve your code from the module using VCDS. It's best to do that sooner rather than later in case you need to replace it and it fries altogether and you can't retrieve the code.

Thanks for that Ronnie, could you help me with some advice for the VCDS? where can I get it from?

Also, is there no chance of fixing my existing CCM? as I re-connected it today, I was out on the road for half the day, and it seems to be working now. I will try it later on tonight, but is there no way of fixing whatever is wrong with it?

If not, where can I go for the VCDS ?

Where are you based? Any VW/VAG specialist should be able to do it.

I don't think they can be repaired further than the connections and drying it out unless your able to fix the PCB board.
