Implants

I'm looking to get implants for 2 missing teeth. I'm not worried about the cost - I'd rather get high quality implants, and have it done right - than look for a shoddy job. What type of implants are preferred? I'm very specific about the composition of the implant - so it has to be extremely bio-compatible. So many dental clinics offering implants, but I want to have it done right.

What are the top clinics in Ireland for implants? (North or South).

All dental implants are made of commercially pure titanium or titanium alloy, its the natural oxide layer of the titanium that the bone binds to. So by the very nature of implants they are 100% biocompatable. What is important is that the surgery is done well, the restoration planned and carried out well. Any dentist that can do the job well (its a tricky job a lot of the time) will be using good quality materials, implants and lab work. Its as much in their interest that it works out well as your.

Maybe if you told us where in Ireland you are, somebody could recommend a clinic, a local clinic is important for backup, recall and quick emergency care if necessary.

I got my implant done about a year ago - at the time i priced up Belfast and Dublin, and Dublin was to my surprise cheaper

I could not recommend the clinic i went to more highly - i will be happy to pass on their details via PM if you're interested.
