GUI Server Hacked?

    I'm not a member of a club but help administrate handicaps for a work golf society.

    A member was was just checking his H/C on GUI.ie and it seems to be out of sync with the Club register. He checked with his club and they said the GUI Server was hacked and they have been working on it for the past number of weeks to resolve it.

    Anyone else hear this?

    I've played a number of competitions over the last few weeks, and everything has synched up perfectly.

    Past number of weeks? What are they doing that its taking them weeks to clean up after this 'hack'?

    Someone dropped a database or something like that, similar to what happened with Ulster Bank last year but on a much MUCH smaller scale. It should be sorted now, but there was a couple of weeks back where there was quite an issue and handicaps being delayed

    I've played a lot in the past couple weeks including 5 away competitions. Everything has been correct and normal in terms of handicap with .1's back etc. no cuts is the only problem but that's got nothing to do with the computer!! :)

    For some members there seems to be a difference between the last date updates via the gui txt mobile number and via the gui.ie website. Looks a bit of a mess to be honest.
