Anyone else on here follow their weekly notes, seems by my reckoning they cant do maths, this week there claiming cows are doing 1.84 kg of milk solids a day total milk produced from the 22 nd to the 28 th was 38,636 litres with 324 cows going into the tank so it works out at an average of 5519 litres a day our 17 litres a cow per day with protein at 3.64 and butterfat at 4.11, so by my calculations 17x1.03 = 17.51 kg combined solids of 7.75% equals 1.36kg of milk solids per day maybe my maths are totally out anyone else shed any light on this another thing was total milk kgs produced by there calculations was 4620 kgs for the same week this figure comes to 660kg a day our converted back equals 2.03kg a cow:confused:

The highest I've seen consumed is 135 litres/head.
This was at 40 degrees and not in Ireland.
    Hope this is a help.

Used to be 25 gallons for a cow doing 5 gallons milk a day.

110 litres was what was being drank here last summer during the hot spell, pretty accurate as water was being drew to them, worked out at 6,000 litres a day for 55 cows

Thanks, I had heard it was a hundred litres but I knew they had been measuring it (just too lazy to download every weeks notes)
